Competitive 70k
71km road race starting from the Lone Star Wanaka. Straight up the Cardrona Valley Road past the Cardona Hotel and up to the top of the Crown Range where marshals will ensure you can turn around safely before zooming back down, past the Cardrona Hotel and finishing again outside the Lone Star.
The first 22.5km are relatively flat and straight with slight undulations, the next 14km has some good steady climbs (only the occasional undulation) around continuous curves. After the turn-around you re-trace your tracks back down the 
valley (Awesome!).

Great course. Something for everyone. The first ride I did in Wanaka was to the pub and back. And the challenge of going to the top is great if you haven’t been there. All with other girls around to support you.
